Configure your device with Android

Reliable passing the orders to the RePOS application requires additional Android configuration. The steps of solving the problems will be different depending on the phone model and operating system.

Solving basic problems

  1. Confirm that your phone is connected to the Internet.
  2. Your phone is not in flight mode. Android system settings > Network and Internet > turn flight mode on or off.
  3. You have enabled data transmission services.
  4. If you are using a university or company Wi-Fi network with firewall restrictions, contact your network administrator.
  5. Check if your Internet Provider allows WebSocket connections.
  6. Make sure your VPN or other applications do not restrict Restaumatic RePOS's Internet connectivity.
  7. Update the application to the latest version of Restaumatic RePOS for Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.restaumatic.ros).
  8. Update the Google Play Services app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.gms) on your phone.
  9. Update your Android operating system to the latest version available for your device.
  10. Confirm that the date and time on your phone is set correctly for your time zone. Compare with the time set by https://www.time.gov/ or https://time.is/.
  11. Check if the notification appears in the notification bar of your Android system.
  12. Check if you have enabled notifications on your phone.
    1. Android system settings > Applications (then Managing applications for some users)> Restaumatic RePOS > check Show notifications.
    2. Restaumatic RePOS application settings > Notifications > Turn on notifications.
  13. Check if you have free space in the internal memory, not on the SD card. You can free up space by deleting applications that are not on the SD card.
  14. Confirm that WiFi or data transmission services is enabled when your phone is in sleep mode. Android system settings > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Keep your WiFi connection while sleeping mode.

Settings depend on the operating system

  1. Disable WiFi optimization. Android system settings> Wi-Fi > Menu > Advanced > uncheck Wi-Fi optimization.
  2. Turn on data transmission services in the background. Android system settings > Data usage > Menu/More > Automatic data synchronization > OK, to confirm automatic data synchronization.

  1. Confirm that notifications for Restaumatic RePOS are enabled.
  2. Android system settings > Sound and notifications > Applications/Application notifications > Restaumatic RePOS > Confirm blocking is off.

Confirm that the Restaumatic RePOS application is enabled to work when "Do not disturb" mode is enabled.

  • Android system settings > Sound and notifications > Applications / Application notifications > Restaumatic RePOS > enable Set as priority.

Turn on background data.

  1. Android system settings > Data usage > Data transmission services > Restaumatic RePOS > Background data > enable unlimited data usage.
  2. Android system settings > Data usage > Menu > make sure Restaumatic RePOS can work if 'Restrict background application data' is checked.

  1. Make sure you have all rights granted to Restaumatic RePOS.
  2. Android system settings > Apps and notifications (the option may be different depending on the device) > Restaumatic RePOS > Application permissions (the option may be different depending on the device) > enable permissions.

Confirm that the Restaumatic RePOS application is enabled to work when “Do not disturb” mode is enabled.

  • Android system settings > Sound > Do not disturb > Off.

Check whether the Restaumatic RePOS app is excluded from battery optimization.

  1. Advanced settings icon > Battery optimization > select 'All applications'> Restaumatic RePOS > select 'Do not optimize.'> Finished > Restart your phone.
  2. Android system settings > Apps > advanced settings icon > Special access > Battery optimization > select 'All applications' > Restaumatic RePOS > select 'Do not optimize'.
  3. Android system settings > Battery > MENU > Battery optimization > select 'All applications' > Restaumatic RePOS > select 'Do not optimize'.
  4. Android system settings > Apps > advanced settings icon > Ignore optimization > select 'All applications'> Restaumatic RePOS > select 'Allow'.

Turn on background data.

  • Android system settings > Data usage > Data transmission services > Restaumatic RePOS > Background data> enable unlimited data usage.

  1. Follow the steps in the Android 6 section above.
  2. Turn on background data.
  3. Android system settings > Data usage > Data saving > if data saver is off, stop here. If it is enabled, go to the option Unlimited data usage > enable Restaumatic RePOS.

  3. Android system settings > Apps > Application information > tap our application > Battery > enable the 'Background operation' option.
  4. Android system settings > Data usage > Data saving > if data saver is off, stop here. If it is enabled, go to the option Unlimited data usage > enable Restaumatic RePOS.

Settings depend on phone model

  • Android system settings > Energy management > Auto Launch Manager > DOWNLOADED > select 'Allow' for Restaumatic RePOS.

  • Boost + application > Optimize background applications > Restaumatic RePOS > Choose 'Disable'.

  1. Android system settings > Apps > Apps > Restaumatic RePOS > Details of energy consumption > Starting the application > Set to Manage manually and enable this option: Auto Launch, Secondary Launch and Background Operation.
  2. Phone Manager application > Battery Manager (or Energy Saving) > Protected Applications > Enable Restaumatic RePOS.
  3. Android system settings > Advanced settings > Battery Manager (or Energy Saving) > Protected Applications > Enable Restaumatic RePOS.
  4. Android system settings > 'All' tab > Protected Applications > Enable Restaumatic RePOS.
  5. Phone Manager application > Protected Applications > Enable Restaumatic RePOS.
  6. Android system settings > Apps > Advanced / Special access> Ignore battery optimization> All applications (drop-down list)> Enable Restaumatic RePOS.
  7. Android system settings > Battery > Start > Restaumatic RePOS.
  8. Android system settings > Apps > Restaumatic RePOS > Data usage > Background data > Turn on.
  9. Android system settings > Notification panel & status bar > Notification Center, find Restaumatic RePOS and activate the Allow notifications and Priority display options.

  • Android system settings > Energy management > Background application management > add Restaumatic RePOS to the unlimited list or allow the Restaumatic RePOS application to start automatically.

  • Android system settings > Battery > Background activity manager > make sure switching is turned off for Restaumatic RePOS.

  1. Android system settings > Apps > Run icon > Automatic application launch > Enable Restaumatic RePOS to run in the background.
  2. Android system settings > Battery > Menu > Aggressive sleep and Hibernate applications> Disable this mode or protect Restaumatic RePOS against restrictions in this mode.
  3. Android system settings > Apps > Menu > Auto start > Disable this mode or protect Restaumatic RePOS against restrictions in this mode.

  1. Apps > Security Center > Privacy Permissions > Automatic startup management (or startup manager) > Enable Restaumatic RePOS.
  2. Android system settings > Application management> "Working" tab > Enable Restaumatic RePOS.

  1. Android system settings > Apps > Restaumatic RePOS > Mobile data > Allow data to be used in the background.
  2. Android system settings > Security > Automatic startup management > Enable Restaumatic RePOS.
  3. Android system settings > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Keep your Wi-Fi connection always while sleep mode.
  4. Android system settings > Device maintenance > Battery > MENU > Application energy monitor> Turn off or selectively mark sleep applications in Settings > Device maintenance > Battery > Make sure you have excluded Restaumatic RePOS from the list of applications in sleep mode.
  5. Android system settings > Device maintenance > Battery > Energy saving mode > Disable or change to MEDIUM.
  6. Android system settings > Battery > Details > Restaumatic RePOS > Off.
  7. App drawer > Intelligent Manager> Battery > Details > Restaumatic RePOS > Off.
  8. Android system settings > Battery > Battery consumption > MENU > Optimize battery usage > select 'All applications' > Disable Restaumatic RePOS.
  9. Android system settings > Battery > Unmonitored applications > Add applications > Restaumatic RePOS > Finished > Restart the phone.
  10. Samsung 8: Android system settings > Apps > Menu > Special access > Optimize battery usage > select the 'non-optimized applications' drop-down list and go to' All applications > find Restaumatic RePOS and tap the disable option.

  1. Android system settings > Storage and memory > Disable the 'Smart cleaning' option or continue by tapping the three dots in the upper right corner > Advanced > add Restaumatic RePOS to the white list.
  2. Android system settings > Energy management > Tap STAMINA mode > Background applications > add Restaumatic RePOS to the list without restrictions.

  • App drawer > iManager > Application Manager > Auto Launch Manager > Allow Restaumatic RePOS to run automatically in the background.

  1. App drawer > Security application > Permissions > tap Manage Auto Launch > Enable Restaumatic RePOS.
  2. Android system settings > Services > Security > Permissions > Automatic start > Enable Restaumatic RePOS.
  3. Android system settings > Additional settings > Battery and performance > Application battery management > turn off 'Energy saving mode' > open the Security application > go to Permissions > add Restaumatic RePOS to Auto start > call Task Manager > find Restaumatic RePOS > drag down until the padlock icon appears.
  4. Security application for Android > Settings > Data usage> Allow data to be used in the background.

Phone/operating system not listed

If your phone or operating system is not listed, you can search for specific settings for your phone in the following categories

Other settings

  1. If none of the steps above helps, you may not receive updates from Google's push notification service.
  2. Check if they work with the application Push Notifications Fixer from Google Play Strore.

Edit your VPN or firewall settings.

  • Android system settings > More (in the Wireless and Networks category) > VPN, and then turn off the Wi-Fi Assistant.

Reset your Google Account.

  1. Android phone: Settings > Apps > Manage applications > All (for some phones the list is available after swiping to the right if it is not in Downloads).
  2. Select Google Play services> Clear data.
  3. Select Google services framework> Clear data.
  4. Temporarily disconnect your Google account from your phone.
  5. Restart the phone.
  6. Reassign Google Account.
